Rapid Carpool is a new type of carpool app.
There are no appointments and no detours (beyond exiting and re-entering the freeway).
To use Rapid Carpool:
👫 Riders go to carpool stations along major corridors whenever they are ready to travel.
🚗 Drivers choose their destination whenever they start a journey.
When the driver approaches a carpool station, the app instantly matches the driver with waiting riders. Easy!

Install free app: Vehicle
As a carpool driver, using Rapid Carpool on your vehicle screen is ideal because it enables a larger interface, making it even easier to respond to trip proposals with one tap.
There are several options to use Rapid Carpool on your vehicle screen. The best option for you will depend on your vehicle's capabilities.
Alternatively, carpool drivers may simply use the app on their smartphone as described above.
Option 1: Use vehicle web browser
If your vehicle screen includes a web browser (Tesla, Mercedes, Audi, etc), use the browser to access Rapid Carpool directly.
Make sure your vehicle is using your smartphone as a WiFi hotspot, rather than using your vehicle's cellular connection. This is because your smartphone likely has a stronger internet connection than your vehicle.
Note that only the driver app of Rapid Carpool is designed to function on a vehicle screen. Other components of Rapid Carpool, such as account creation and profile settings, may not fully function on your vehicle screen; access those components through your smartphone.
Some older vehicle web browsers are sluggish, which can prevent Rapid Carpool from performing. If Rapid Carpool loads slowly in your vehicle web browser, consider using another option described below.
Option 2: Purchase external module
If your vehicle screen lacks a web browser, the best option is to purchase an external module that plugs in to your vehicle and uses its screen. The module includes a web browser, which is required to run Rapid Carpool.
As an added bonus, you can also use the module to access any app that is normally unavailable on Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, such as YouTube, Netflix, Facebook, etc.
These modules cost $100+. We suggest researching the CarlinKit AI Box – be sure to confirm compatibility with your vehicle before purchasing.
Option 3: Use modified smartphone
If your vehicle supports wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you may be able to use your iPhone or Android on your vehicle screen. Because web browsing is not supported by those automotive platforms, you will need to install enabling software on your smartphone.
For iPhone, we suggest researching CarBridge, which costs $10. CarBridge requires jailbreaking your iPhone – the process is reversible and legal, but complex.
For Android, we suggest watching this video to install CarStream, which is free and does not require jailbreaking or rooting your Android. (Jump to 4:55 for accessing the web browser.)
Option 4: Mirror smartphone onto vehicle screen
If the above options are not feasible, you may be able to mirror your smartphone's display onto your vehicle screen.
Compared to the above options, mirroring is not optimal because you can't use the touch capability of your vehicle screen. This means that trip proposals in Rapid Carpool will be visible on the vehicle screen, but you must tap your smartphone screen in order to respond to a proposal.
Mirroring is possible in vehicles that support wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (and also in Tesla) by downloading an app for your device. However, mirroring is not supported in all vehicles.
For iPhone, try CarbitLink-EasyConnection
For Android, try MirrorLink
For Tesla:
• iPhone: try TesDisplay or Replica
• Android: try Tesla Display or TeslaMirror
